Who we are

This website is run by The Computer Worx, 111 Pedmore Road, Lye, Stourbridge, West Midlands, DY9 8DG. We are responsible for the personal information you send us through it. If you have any questions about this policy, email info@thecomputerworx.co.uk or call 01384 892 893.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us through our booking and contact forms:

• your name, email address and phone number
• details about your computer, such as the type of device and its make and model
• the service you need and your message describing the problem

Our web host also keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to keep the site running securely.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange your repair or quote, and contact you about it. Our lawful basis is that you've asked us to do something for you, which is a step towards a contract, and our legitimate interest in running our business and answering customers.

We don't sell your details, and we don't use them for marketing unless you've asked us to.

Who can see it

Messages from our forms are sent to our business email. Our website host and email provider store this information on our behalf. We don't share your details with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any repair, and to keep the business records we're legally required to keep. After that we delete them.

Cookies

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so visiting the site doesn't send your details to third parties.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to how we use it. To do any of these, email info@thecomputerworx.co.uk.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
