What to expect
A laptop that won't charge has three likely causes: the charger, the charging socket or the battery. We test each one so you only pay to fix the part that's actually faulty.
On many laptops the charging socket sits on a separate cable or small board that we can replace. On others it's soldered to the main board and needs a board-level repair. We'll tell you which after the free diagnosis.
If your battery is swollen, stop using and charging the laptop and bring it in. Swollen batteries can be dangerous, and we'll replace it safely.

Other repairs
Is it my charger or my laptop?
We test both. It's common for a worn charger to look like a laptop fault, so we check it first and only recommend a repair if the laptop really needs one.
Can a loose charging port be fixed?
Yes. Depending on the model, we replace the socket, its cable or the small board it sits on, or repair it on the main board. We'll tell you which and give you a price first.
Is a swollen laptop battery dangerous?
It can be. Stop using and charging the laptop, keep it away from heat and bring it in. We'll remove the battery and fit a new one.
Do battery and port repairs come with a warranty?
Yes. New parts we fit, including batteries and charging ports, come with a 12-month warranty.
